Poros is located 30 n.m. South of Piraeus. It's an all-pine island with green hills and an interesting coastline. The highest peak on the island is Vigla which is 358 meters above sea-level. The climate of Poros offer s a cool summer followed by a mild winter.

Poros is a typical greek island with a lot of points of interest, pleasant places to walk and
very nice beaches, easily reached by dinghy.

The port of the island located in a large gulf between the island and the opposite shore of Peloponnese is an excellent all weather shelter.

The channel between the island and the mainland (roughly 1/4 mile wide) attracts a lot of Poros-lovers.
